After purchasing the Historic McCrary House in 2000, Dr. Pat and Trellise Brennan started Brennan Vineyards by planting the first vines of Viognier, Syrah, and Cabernet in 2002.

Originally Brennan Vineyards was a grape supplier to Dr. Brennan’s good friend Dr. Richard Becker (Becker Vineyards).

In 2004 winery construction began and the rest is history!

Todd Webster joined Brennan Vineyards in 2007 as a winemaking apprentice to Dr. Brennan. Todd had a thirst for all things wine and completed formal viticulture and enology coursework at both Texas Tech University and Washington State University.

Today, he is the man behind the collection of sixteen wines that make up the Brennan Vineyards portfolio.

His winemaking philosophy has developed into a minimalist approach of blending old world traditions with modern innovations. By doing so he has succeeded in producing wines that are expressive of the Texas regions from which they are grown.

Rebecca Conley came on board at Brennan Vineyards in 2014 as the Director of Marketing and now .

Rebecca is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Horticulture focused in Viticulture and Enology. She is also a level 1 sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers and is pursuing her level 2 certification; as well as the Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators.

Christy has been a member of the Brennan Vineyards team in several capacities since 2014, but joined us full time in the Fall of 2016 as our Wine Club Director.

Christy is happy to be back in the country at her family ranch after several years in corporate life in the DFW metroplex. Christy certainly has a way with words, if you haven’t followed Brennan Vineyards yet on Facebook you should. Travis Conley, PHD-   Travis Conley joined the Brennan Vineyards team in April of 2017 with a background in Agronomy, focused in Soil Science.  Travis completed both his Bachelor’s of Science in Soil Science as well as his Masters of Science in Agronomy at Oklahoma State University.   His doctoral studies are in Soil Sciences, focused in Pedology at Texas Tech University.  While completing his doctoral studies, Travis came to central Texas and worked for a small oil and gas company.   Travis now oversees the operations of both the Brennan Vineyards bottling line and vineyard management.

Bill has been with Brenan Vineyards since 2005.Owner Pat Brennan describes Bill as “our ‘ManFriday’”. And he is just that!  He is the equipment manager, winery assistant, harvester operator, vineyard worker,tank/barell cleaner – and on and on! He helps the ladies in the front office with stocking wine and setting up for events as well.

Bill is from Comanche.  His father, the late Bill Sr., asisted Brennan Vineyards in obtaining assistance from the Comanche Economic Development Corporation when we first opened.

Christa Halliburton

Sheila joined the staff in 2012 as one of our tasting room associates after selling her gift shop in Comanche.   A long time resident of Central Texas, and originally from San Saba, Sheila has always been right at home in our McCrary House Tasting Room.

What few people know about her is that she is a wonderful cook and in one of her many careers was once a caterer.   Sheila is the talent behind many of our food pairing photo shoots, beautiful floral arrangements at special events, and nights out with food pairings.   There isn’t anything she can’t do!
